Local Delivery
Your new home furnishings purchase is given care every step of the journey to your home by our delivery team — and we deliver up to 200 miles from our stores. We have trained drivers and operators in maintained delivery vehicles to ensure that your delivery arrives to you safely and professionally. Because we stock more home furnishings than anyone, there are many instances where you can be enjoying your new purchase in your home almost immediately.
Our delivery crews will inspect your purchased items, bring them to your home, place them in the room of your choice, provide assembly, and haul away any packaging. In certain instances, haul-away of your old item is available for an additional charge when we are delivering to an address near our store locations. Professional installation is available in the immediate local area for certain products like dishwashers.
We offer reminder calls before your scheduled delivery day. In the immediate local area, we schedule deliveries within a few-hour time window so you know when to expect us. For deliveries outside the immediate area and up to 200 miles, we call before delivery to make arrangements.
In-House Service
For local furniture purchases, we offer a professional service department that is here for you after the sale. Whether inside or outside of the manufacturer warranty period, our staff are trained and equipped to remedy any unexpected issues you may have in the future.
Nationwide Shipping
If you live outside our regular delivery area, we are able to offer shipping of your purchase within the 48-contiguous United States. We like to be as up-front as possible, and despite what other companies may say, shipping isn’t really “free.” When a company offers “free” shipping, it’s actually built into the price of the item. Sometimes with small items that built-in cost isn’t much so it doesn’t really matter. But with most home furnishings items like sofas or refrigerators, there are instances where the cost of shipping can meet or exceed the price of the item, and that can catch people by surprise if they aren’t expecting it.
Sometimes another thing that surprises people is that large items don’t ship as quickly as the small parcels they order for things like office supplies or groceries. Home furnishings items typically are moved across the country using a series of warehouses and trucks, so it takes a little longer than with small packages.
We work with a variety of freight companies to make sure that not only do we get the best outbound shipping rates possible when sending your purchase to you, but also that your items will arrive safely. We strongly encourage you to read our full
When you make an online purchase that is to be shipped, we will contact you, typically within 1 business day, to arrange the specifics. Sometimes we may need to go back to our freight companies at that point to confirm the details as well. After that, we package your item to get to you safely, and schedule a pick-up by the freight carrier from our facility. The item then starts its journey to you, and the freight company schedules a more specific delivery time with you directly. Fischer’s is here for you both before and after the sale. We offer a wide range of repair and warranty services for furniture, and we serve as your point of contact for mattress warranty concerns when you purchased your mattress from Fischer’s. While we do not repair appliances, we can help you contact the right repair company based on your appliance manufacturer and warranty, if applicable.
